Job Title: Lead Accountant

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers

Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

1. Oversee all financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
2. Prepare accurate and timely financial statements in line with regulatory and company standards.
3. Ensure compliance with tax regulations and liaise with auditors, banks, and regulatory authorities.
4. Manage cash flow, monitor expenditures, and recommend cost-control measures.
5. Provide financial analysis and insights to guide strategic decision-making.
6. Implement and maintain robust internal controls and financial policies.
7. Manage the most complex, large, or difficult analysis projects; evaluate findings, prepare reports and make recommendations to senior management about the financial implications of proposed investments and transactions.
8. Contribute to the development of financial strategies that align with the organization's overall vision and its current and long-term business objectives.
9. Establish and maintain positive, ongoing relationships with the external financial community.
10. Lead, direct, evaluate, and develop a team of financial professionals to ensure financial planning and analysis projects are conducted credibly and that recommendations and reports are accurate and timely.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
2. Professional certification required: ACA, ACCA, CFA, ICAN, or equivalent.
3. Minimum of 10 years related experience with 3 years in a management role.
4. Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards and Nigerian tax regulations.
5. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
6. Strong interpersonal skills.
7. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
8. Assertiveness (Includes willingness to challenge and confront).
9. Ethical Behaviour/ Honesty/Transparency/ Modelling of Values.
10. Entrepreneurship mentality (ownership of process/task).
11. Customer Service Orientation/Client Focus (Internal and External).

Salary: N750,000 - N850,000 / month.
